Whimsy Pillow Cases

I have been thinking a lot lately about my career directions in this 2011. One month has passed and another 11 more to go. If my slacking attitude is still here, I might achieve less than I would imagined...

Hence, working harder is a must! By saying that, I have added two more designs to my envelop shop XD The 'Can You Hear the Whispers in My Heart' & 'Glad to Have You by My Side' are now available Here as pillow cases! More will be added soon :)

The Silent Whispers

There are a lot of whispering from my hearts that I wish you could know, but somehow I can't put them into words. So instead, I hope 'they' will let you know my thoughts...

New Frame / Whimsy Updates

The rain has finally stopped just before the day of Chinese New Year. The sun came out and the temperature in my room has risen to an uncomfortable state. Now I kinda missed the cooling breeze of the rainy days... Oh man, I'm so hard to please XD

The other day, I bought two white frames (I love white colour!) to frame some of my works :) They are looking good and tidy on my desk now. That will keep me motivated to create more~

I have added some new tags in the Whimsy Whimsical Paper Goods. These Love and Thank You tags with pink hearts are something different from my usual forest animals collection. They appeared much simpler and more elegant :)

Rainy days

It has been raining a lot in my place lately whilst there are only few days away from the Chinese New Year festival.

I spent my Sunday afternoon sending Max off for grooming (to join us for the celebration XD), having hazelnut iced chocolate at the Starbucks while waiting for him. The crowds were busy shopping for new clothes and shoes even though it was raining. Snuggling into the couch and listening to the drizzle at the glass wall, I felt like I was out of the world for a while. As if I'm living in a parallel world apart from here :)

When I was in Melbourne, spring rain is part of the season. Even though the weather is even more unpredictable than other seasons, yet the wonderful sceneries of blooming flowers everywhere in the city and parks are really beautiful :)

I made the 'I Love Spring Time' notecards into some whimsical tags~ They are great for birthdays, tea parties, or any lovely gift especially for those who love bunnies!

Also, during the Spring time, you'll get to see a lot of people having picnic at the park and dozing under the warm sun =p Just like Mr. Bear and Mr. Fox in these sweet notecards!

Whimsical Forest Animals Greeting Cards

I'm having a slow update this month to sort out a lot of things. Particularly my emotions and realisation that I'm no longer able to take my own sweet time in creating illustrations like I used to be. It is going to a year soon ever since I started my first girl illustration. But when I glance back to my journey, I would still like to walk further and see how things are going to evolve in future. I would like to experience those changes with all my heart, and not half-hearted like what I'm having right now... I guess you can call that an emotional-well-digging-out-the-blardy-mess-so-I-can-put-more-stuff-in-period XD

We meet a lot of different persons in our life, whether in real life or in cyber life. A lot of them have supported me and motivated me in many ways. Some of them pushed me further to where I'm standing right now; some of them lifted my spirit whenever I'm feeling down; some of them helped me to sort out my mess especially when I'm running up and down. I once read an article about those whoever is willing to help you. They help you because they are willing to, but not because they have to. So to me, it is important to always express your appreciation to whoever that has helped you, either small or great :) Because they don't have to, yet they do it willingly. And that is very nice of them.

These are the thank you cards from the whimsical family. They all are having the similar expression which are very shy and gentle, expressing their appreciation in a very subtle way XD Currently available in the shop Here.

Can You Hear the Whispers in My Heart

Sometimes when you have met with the right person, you'll hear a little voice in your heart whispering "That's him... That's the one..." Or you can replaced 'Him' with 'Her' :) Here is the new set of notecards featuring the story of Mr Rabbit's love for Mrs Rabbit.

I had a crazy weekend preparing and making new items for the shop. When you are just too busy, you really can't be bother with what's on the table or how clean they look like. Not to mention the good habits of putting them back nicely each time you used. I just scattered everything on my table and clean them up once and for all when I'm all done... I wish I could be more organized XD XD This is just a mess!

 I have to put some on the chair because there is not enough space on the table...

Notecards Sneak Peak

It has been a busy week for me so I haven't got the chance to snap photos for few new sets of notecards which I have finished. Moreover, the weather was cloudy and moody due to the monsoon season. Hopefully it will be sunny day this weekend, with plenty of beautiful sunlights for me to snap nice pretty photos of them :)

Whimsical Spring Notecards

I like spring :) When the winter is slowly transiting into spring, that is when you can spot cherry blossom starting to bloom along the roadside, either in subtle pink or white. When I was in Melbourne, I used to bring my camera around and snap any cherry blossom whenever I found one :D They are really beautiful and only last for a short while, which make them very precious.

Here are few new sets of notecards which are inspired by the spring theme. More will be coming soon slowly :D

Also, I have made few new stickers set and they can be used as address labels or gift labels.

My first week in 2011

Christmas and New Year were just over and I'm starting to prepare for the coming Spring XD Hence, as for these few coming months, there might be a lot of soft and sweet pastel tone with plenty flowers, hearts and ladybugs in the whimsy illustrations! Also, I'm thinking of adding few more members maybe like Woodpecker, skunk or perhaps little deer to the whimsy family. If you have any animals that you like to see, you're welcome to let me know!!
